Kelly Villars, PT, DPT, CLT, was born and raised in New Orleans. She graduated from Southern Adventist University (Tennessee) in 1990 with a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing. She worked in oncology for 4 years before transferring to cardiac intensive care. After 10 years as a registered nurse, she realized her true passion was in the rehabilitation side of care. Kelly earned her doctorate of physical therapy degree from Slippery Rock University (Pittsburgh) in 2001 and has been practicing on the Northshore since 2002.
Kelly has pursued advanced studies in myofascial release, functional manual therapy and McKenzie’s mechanical approach to assessment and treatment of the back. She received her certification in lymphedema therapy from Klose Training in 2009. She is a widely recognized Certified Lymphedema Therapist serving the Northshore community.
Kelly and her husband, Rennie, live on the Northshore with adult children Jessica and Matthew, one grandson Luke and one dog, Chloe. Outside of her practice she enjoys gardening, walking, biking and reading.
